Female K-pop singer and former racing model Lee Hye Rin committed suicide due to depression.
Yu-Ju (real name Lee Hye Rin) was found dead inside her home last Oct. 23 in an apparent suicide. She was 25.
She worked as a racing model starting in 2005. In 2008, Yu-Ju debuted in the K-pop music scene as a member of the girl group SSEN together with Sue Ann and Na-eun.
The group released their first album in June 2008.
According to the group's 2008 profile on KBS World online, SSEN's "musical concept is African-American music with a retro feel."
"In particular, Yu-ju's energetic dance and appealing visual image complements the serious voices of Sue Ann and Na-eun, bringing balance and harmony to their songs," the article said.
However, the group failed to further their career.

Among the Korean stars that committed suicide were actress Choi Jin-sil in 2008 and her brother, actor Choi Jin-young this year, actor Ahn Jae-hwan in 2008, singer Park Yong-ha, and actress and singer U-Nee.
